Please welcome our three new editors
We continue to expand the breadth and depth of our coverage. Today we announce that The Kernel has hired editors to cover Spain and Portugal, central and eastern Europe and Africa.
We’re delighted to announce today that three of our regular contributors have taken up formal positions as editors of three geographic regions The Kernel is keen to expand our coverage into.
We’ve been traditionally strong on Spain, thanks to the wonderful support of Alex Barrera, who is now our Spanish Editor. Alex will be responsible for heading up coverage of Spain and Portugal, writing weekly dispatches and commissioning content that gives Kernel readers the skinny on what’s happening in that region’s entrepreneurial and technology communities.
Ivo Spigel, who is currently compiling a book of interviews with prominent European entrepreneurs and investors, about which more soon, today becomes our editor for central and eastern Europe. He’s got a big task ahead of him: to give, through his own writing and that of his network of contributors, an intelligent overview of the situation in “New Europe”.
And last, but by no means least, Monty Munford, a seasoned and highly talented investigative journalist, joins today as our Africa editor. Monty has a keen interest in emerging markets and we are intrigued to read more about a market he knows exceedingly well. We might be based in Europe, but The Kernel has global ambitions and Monty will help us achieve them.
You can contact any member of The Kernel’s editorial staff by writing to the usual address.
